About Love California Church

A young church with an old message: Jesus, for everyone.

Pastors Moisés Herrera and Pahola Marino at Love California Church

Meet our pastors

Pastors Moisés Herrera and Pahola Marino are the founders and lead pastors of Love California Church. Their passion for helping people know Jesus is the engine that drives them: seeing each person grow in faith and discover their purpose in God.

Pastor Moisés was born in Phoenix, Arizona, into a pastor’s home that planted a deep love for God in him from childhood. A musician, worshiper, and preacher, he has more than 20 years of pastoral experience — planting churches, developing leaders, and faithfully teaching the Word of God.

Pastora Pahola was born in Venezuela and grew up in a family devoted to ministry, the daughter of minister and musician Stanislao Marino. From eight years of age she began ministering through music and, together with her family, has traveled to different countries sharing the message of the hope of Jesus Christ through preaching and music.

Married in 1995, Moisés and Pahola served together for more than 20 years in pastoral ministry in Arizona and, afterward, 10 years in evangelistic and music ministry, carrying the message of Christ to churches and communities in many places. In response to God’s call they moved to Temecula, California, where in February 2024 they founded Love California Church — and since then they have watched God transform lives, restore families, and raise up a community passionate about Jesus.

Their conviction: no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace — in Christ, every life can be restored and transformed. We would love to meet you and welcome you home!

What we believe

Vision

To teach every person to keep what Jesus commanded us, through home groups and other ministries, where we are taught to serve God and people.

Mission

To love and help every person at Love California Church to believe in Jesus Christ, belong to His family, learn from His Word, and be built up in the faith, so that they become active disciples who establish the Kingdom of God on earth.

Creed

The Bible. We believe that the Bible, comprising the Old and New Testaments, is alone the only inspired and infallible Word of God. It contains everything needed to guide us in godliness and in practical Christian conduct. Therefore, those who apply themselves to studying it in its literal, historical-grammatical context can accurately understand the Word of God.

The Triune God. We believe in the one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Salvation. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. Salvation is a free gift, based on the merits of Christ’s death and resurrection, and is received through faith, personal repentance, belief in the Lord Jesus, and personally receiving Him into one’s life as Lord and Savior. Salvation should produce an active lifestyle of loving obedience and service to Jesus Christ our Savior.

The Church. We believe that upon placing our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, the believer becomes part of the Body of Christ, of which Jesus is the Head. The Scriptures command believers to gather locally to devote themselves to worship, prayer, the teaching of the Word, fellowship, the ordinances of baptism and communion, service to the local body through the development and use of talents and spiritual gifts, and outreach to the world to make disciples. We also believe that every member of the Church should contribute financially, bringing voluntary tithes and offerings for the support and advancement of God’s work, believing that He prospers and pours out His blessing until it overflows, according to Malachi 3:10.

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. The Word of God entrusts to the Church two perpetual ordinances of the Lord Jesus Christ. The first, baptism, is the ordinance of immersion in water and an outward sign of what God has already done in the life of the individual — a testimony to all that this person now belongs to Jesus. It is identification with Jesus and is performed in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of the death of our Lord Jesus and is done in remembrance of Him until He comes again; it is a sign of our participation in Him.
